I am too tired today to take up this subject again right now, but Hugo Schwyzer has a post that's well worth reading. Hugo teaches confirmation classes at the left-wing Episcopal church in Pasadena that I attended a few times last year, and was disturbed to find that the rector believes it's a sin not to vote. He contrasts the Mennonite position, which historically was the opposite.
Also, in my roundup of links I neglected to include Lynn's post on Quaker political activism, in particular about the death penalty.
