So last night I was reading and chowing down from a little tub of calimyrna figs I got from Trader Joe's, without realizing I was actually following an old Christian tradition. I suppose I could say the Spirit moved me, but actually it was probably just my further pursuit of a good snack food (since unlike most Americans, I don't really like chips of any kind).
