So I went to Mass Times to investigate the Catholic churches in my neighborhood, and two questions immediately came up:
What's the difference between a church and a cathedral? I mean, obviously a cathedral is a bigger deal than a parish church, but is there a significant difference in the services?
What's the Maronite rite?

After searching around about Maronites, I think it's something along the lines of the Maronite church is to the Catholic Church as Puerto Rico is to the USA. Except they're from Lebanon rather than west of Haiti and the Domican Republic. Not that I know much about Puerto Rico either. There should be significant differences in the services as the they apparently use a different liturgy to your regular Catholics.

But it's not necessarily the biggest church in the diocese. (There are also basilicas, which are defined in canon law as "fancy schmancy churches.")
There's no difference between a Mass in a cathedral and a Mass in a regular church, although a Mass with a bishop will generally have a little more fussing in the sanctuary.
The Maronite rite is the Eucharistic rite (= Mass) used by the Maronite Church, one of the Eastern Churches in communion with the Roman Catholic Church (centered in Lebanon, as mentioned above). See http://www.bkerke.org.lb
for more on the Maronite Church and http://www.bkerke.org.lb/liturgyeng.html for more on their Eucharistic rite.
