Sorry for the light posting, but as you can see I have made some changes to the template. To the left I added a list of the latest comments on recent posts, which should make tracking the discussions here a little easier (especially as they have a way of going on after posts disappear into archives). Also I get some really interesting comments here, and they deserve more publicity.

I've also updated the blogroll, belatedly adding Joel's new Writing in Orange and Leon Zitzer's Historical Jesus, and creating new links for Jeanne d'Arc's and Dan Drezner's attractive new Movable Type sites. (My own decision to move here looks better all the time.) I've removed the apparently dormant Reaching for Zion and Brasilianista Aspirante. I know both of them have had health/life problems lately, so the removal from the blogroll does not mean they are removed from my thoughts.

I saw Telford today for the last time in some indefinite period (he's moving to his new house as I type this, theoretically). I thought it would be sad, but it was actually quite a cheery visit. I think we're both feeling like me looking for a new church is a really good idea. My thoughts about that seem to be slowly conglomerating into something coherent, but not quite coherent enough to write about tonight. Thanks for everyone's advice and encouragement; I will say more as things develop.
